Crucial for the environmental burden is the longevity of a product. This factor needs to be observed by manufacturers, traders and consumers if they are anxious to act as sustainable as possible. There is a big difference between a product lasting 20 years or 2 years – in regards to the practical value, financially and not least for the environment. A product that lasts 10 times longer causes a distinctively lower pollution than an item which only lasts a few years and needs to be replaced permanently -  from the production of raw materials, to the transportation and packaging through to the disposal.
 
With the conversion set from Ecolignum, it is later possible to separate the family beds COMO, ALTERA, SCALA and AVOLA to two single beds. It is possible to dismantle the big beds in the middle and this creates two single beds in 120x200 from the dimension 240x200 and two single beds in 140x200 can later be assembled from 280x200.
 
Unfortunately, no conversion is possible with the dimensions 270x200.
